Well, the school year has begun....and I just might be crazy! I agreed to teach 7th and 8th grade this year, and although I love the kids, the 7th graders are NUTS! I had no idea how incredibly immature they were and how you actually have to practice how to walk in to the classroom the appropriate way, how to leave the classroom, how to ask a question, how to sharpen your pencil, etc.....they need to be trained on everything! It is kind of nuts.
I guess I don't have much to report yet since we are just one week in to school. My plan will be to report on lessons that went well, things I've learned, and funny situations. I, of course, will be changing student names for confidentiality, but think the documented memories of the year will be useful next year. :)

- I am a Middle School teacher who recently started grad school in the Guidance and Counseling field. I love to read and travel and hang out with friends. I love to eat exotic foods and try out new restaurants, but have few friends close to where I live who enjoy eating exotic foods as well. I love to be outside and hike, canoe, camp, and find peace in nature. I like that I have the power to decide what type of day I am going to have every morning! Life is good!
